Why go to the dermatologist at all? Use a peel-off fruit acid mask every week, and moisturize with a cream containing glycolic acid. You don't need to spend $$$ at a friggin' doctors office every month to have nice skin. But that dr's facial mask won't age your skin prematurely--it may forestall it, but it won't accelerate it. Excessive sun exposure, wind and weather will do all that. Be sure to wear sunscreen when outdoors, and lots of moisturizer when out in the windy, cold weather of winter, or the salty beach and chlorinated pool water of summer. If you have acne, try using products containing salicylic acid to reduce dryness.

yeah i do believe that is true because when you are 16 you are not fully grown yet so your skin has not had the time to (be put into place) if i may put it that way. But truley I do believe in getting facial masks but not once a month.

It's never too young to start doing facials. However, since you are only sixteen, using products that are natural and mild is sufficient. Because once you start to use products with chemical, your skin will change its texture and rely on the chemical. And in time to come, you'll have to use more strong & acidic products.

Unfortunately, your Mom is 100% correct! Considering that you're only sixteen, your skin is still very ''young and fresh''. If you want to continue with a certain regimen, try using something natural . Ex: Aloe, oatmeal, apricot, green tea or any mild herbal product for your face. I hope this helps!

only if you plan on scaring the hell out of your mom in the morning, as for wrinkles only if you put it on a mile thick.
