not true at all

I don't think that it's true that the mother does... especially not intentionally. But I would have to say usually a family with 3 kids... the middle child is normally more of an outkast than the rest. It's nature.

Yes, I am the middle chlid and only girl, and my mom really didn't start paying attention to what I was doing until my brothers left the house. I don't mind really, because my little brother craves attention, my older brother's gay and bipolar, and I'm an introverted person. I don't like to be in the spotlight.

Hmmm..interesting. Well my mom had three kids, I'm the youngest. And I guess you can say, there is some true to that. My older sister is in the middle, and she has always been more independant than me or my older brother....but like I said its, not entirely true..its not like the middle one is invisible or anything. My mom loves us all the same. :) PEACE.

No. That's not true. My mom is raising 4 of us. None of us are left out. Believe me. That's just a sucky rumor. My twin sisters are in the middle, and they're the ones that get the most attention.

Depends on the child. The middle child around here is the favorite.

I HAVE 3 DAUGHTERS. ONE IS ALMOST 18, ONE THAT IS 13 AND ONE THAT JUST TURNED 10. THEY ALL WANT MY ATTENTION LOL. BUT IN TRUTH OUR MIDDLE CHILD SAYS WE PAY HER LESS ATTENTION AND YET I FEEL LIKE I GIVE HER MORE ATTENTION AS SHE IS A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD.

NO . I think its the first one that gets neglected.
The last 2 are usually the babies and hence more pampered by 'most' moms.
There is always an exception , though.
