Constant speed is speed that stays the same in a duration of time.
Let's say a cat runs for 4m/s for 5 sec. The speed is the same during that time. That's constant speed.
Average speed is speed that's averaged over time.
Let's say the cat runs at 4/ms, but then slows to a walk half way at a speed of 2m/s. The average speed of the cat throughout the whole 5 sec was 3m/s.
Hope this helps!

Constant speed is the speed at which a thing( or vehicle ) travels at a steady rate.
Average Speed is the average of all the speed the thing was traveling factoring the time at which each speed was traveled at.
They are different.
Heres an Example.
San Francisco is 100 miles from San Jose. It took a Car 4 hrs to make a round trip. What is the Constant Speed?
Use this Equation
Distance / Time = Speed
200 miles / 4 hrs = 50 miles / hr
That is Constant speed assuming the Car traveled that speed all the way.
Average Speed can be used in the same scenario with a bit of a difference.
San Francisco is 100 miles from San Jose. The car traveled at 25 mph to San Francisco and 50 mph Back. What is the average Speed?
Take the Speed and multiply it by the number of hours it took. Do this to each differnt speed. Then divide everything by the total number of hours the whole trip took.
[(25 mph x 4 hrs) + (50 mph x 2 hrs) ]/ 6 hrs total
= 33.33 mph is the average speed
Just think about it. Trust me this took me a bit of time to fully understand but the actual concept is easy. Practice would help. Try to make your own scenarios.

When we say an object is travelling at constant speed, we mean that the speed of the object remains unchanged over a given period of time.
On the other hand, average speed refers to the 'mean' speed of an object throughout a journey. We calculate average speed by:
Average speed = (Total distance travelled / Total time taken)

Constant speed means the same speed during all the time observed.
Average speed is either total distance divided by total time or
the integral of the speed vs time curve.

they are exactly what their name suggests, constant speed is the speed over a given distance at a constand rate, average speed is where you take several different points, add them together and divide by the number of points you took, just like finding the average in math

in case you're calculating elementary speed then you truly've got quite a few distinctive speeds to calculate eg: fifty 5 mph, 25 mph, sixty 5 mph and 40 5 mph - the wide-unfold speed could be entire divided through the style of variable speeds (as a result, 4) one hundred ninety/4 the respond is the wide-unfold speed. a relentless speed is just one variable or speed.

constant speed is when the object is moving at the same speed without changing. an example is if a car is moving at 30 km/hr and not going faster or slower.
Average speed is more accurate. its the average of all the speeds during a time. say a car is going 25 Km/h for one hr. then speeds up to 75 for another hour.
75km+25km
------------------ ----------= 50km/hr
2hrs
so thats the average speed.

i think average speed is how far you travel divided by the time is takes, and constant speed is the speed you travel at, at one certain point in time
