my boyfriend is muslim and one time i went to his parents house and hugged his dad and gave him a kiss on the cheek. My boy told me later that this is a really strange & unheard of thing to do. why?

it was a kiss hello. my friends, family and i always kiss hello on the cheek.

I mean if he was deathly ill on his bed... i'd say it was ok.
Other than that, why would you kiss anyone's dad regardless if muslim or not
