If I have a favorite book, it's The Count of Monte Cristo. You never know what's going to happen, and the whole time you're on the edge of your seat. I would give you a description, but I can't think of a summary to do it justice. It really is a great read for anybody, and I'd definately reccomend it to you.

I have never read it, but everybody I know who has touts it as their favorite book. Duman also wrote the Three Muskateers. Also, did you like the Shawshank Redemption. That story was based on the Count of Monte Cristo.

It was fantastic. And so was the movie. However, they really didn't have much to do with each other. The movie (the newer one) completely deviates from the story. They basically have some of the same characters and change everything (including the ending). However, the movie was well done and the script was great.
The book was better. A little more realistic when it comes to human nature. But a lot darker too.

I definitely enjoyed the book thoroughly, though it really depends on what kind of material you like. Me, for example, I like fast paced adventurous books that aren't too fantasical, like Ludlum's Bourne Identity, Bourne Supremacy, Bourne Legacy, and Dan Brown's DaVinci Code, books like that. Some parts of the book can get a little slow and depressing, but I believe it is a good piece of literature. Definitely give it a try, you will know whether you like it or not within the first twenty pages.. Read the book before watching the movie, they are very different and it will confuse you if you watch the movie.

YES. It's a wonderful book. But it's long and you need to invest the time and concentration.

I haven't read the book, but absolutely would if I came across it. The movie was rivetting and compelling, and I loved it.
