It's only causing trouble for people who are troubled by it; as for myself, it's no big deal. It's not all that good anyway...

I agree with the second answer, but also I feel that something that generates so many hits, is not going to dissapear conveniently. The death of Saddam is landmark, this is an event that history books will have in their pages by the next school year. I think that because he is an ex Iraqi leader, and so many people who view him on you tube has him as the villain that taking it down would be worse than putting it up.

The answer to the question
YouTube have it up because it is generating income for them.
More people wanting to watch on YouTube = more people signing up to YoutTube = more advertising income for YouTube and publicity for them.... millions of people are watching the same video! to me that equals loads of $$$ even if they cop a lot of flack for it.... they probably think it is worth it
Also, a lot of previous answers were concerned with people wanting truth and evidence that Saddam was dead ... funny thing that the TRUTH can be reported/filmed etc when it is convenient
maybe the TRUTH should be shown more often . . and then we can learn what the war is REALLY about!
Salam, Shalom, Peace :-)

Good question! Well, I guess becuz there are a lot of people in the U.S. in particular Iraqi Americans who have probably have known relatives or friends who had been dictated under Saddam's evil reign and they would like to see the video such as those presented on Youtube as real proof and have some justification as to how significant Saddam's execution and tape/footage of it meant to them! Plus some people just want to see it for the hell of it like I did.........................but I was really disgusted at how he was handled at the end by the Shiite Muslims becuz that was no way you should treat someone who already is going through the execution process and all!! Muslim people don't want to be perceived as disrespectful people!! Good question and I hope I was of any help to you!! Good Luck on finding the correct answer to ur question!!! :)

They want more hits on the video, resulting in more viewers surfing the website. Their site would become even more popular, through the video.

Freedom of speech. The mainstream media shields us from the truth. At least Youtube lets us see it if we want to.

Many of us think the airing of the video was a public service.
