these days most girls do start puberty younger than they used to (like say 9 -11 years old), but actually being 13 and not having your period yet isnt that much to stress over yet. (i'm not trying to sound nosy...but...) do you have pubic hair? underarm hair? ever get mild cramps in your lower abdomen? breast tenderness? sore nipples? mood swings that are more severe at certain times of the month? acne? those are a few signs that you could be about to start having your periods.
As for feeling left out..dont be. Nature will take its course when its good and ready to. Nothing you do will make it happen before your body is ready for it to. And if people are making fun of you, just turn the other cheek, they arent any better than you are. Think of it this way...you sort of need to enjoy it while you can lol. Having mood swings, cramps, bloating, tenderness in private areas, bleeding, sore nipples, acne, and the urge to eat a pound of chocolate each month will last a long time after you start having your cycle. Be glad you dont have to go through with it yet. You are still very young. I didnt start my period until I was almost 14, and my "friends" picked on me also. I just smiled at them and said at least I can enjoy it while it hasnt happened yet.
But if you havnt started by the age of 16 or 17 then you and your mom/dad should visit a doctor and see whats going on. But for right now, just relax.

Gee whiz...I feel like I just read myself talking 15 years ago! Anyway, be patient hun. Whatever you do, DO NOT eat junk food. Eat a sensible and nutritious diet, and exercise regularly. It is proven that young women with poor health habits DO NOT fully develope. Besides, your boobs are gonna change throughout your entire life. You may be small for the next ten years, then go to a D cup. Have a couple kids in your 20's, then shrink back to a B cup. Size doesn't matter nowadays anyway. The guys like confident girls, not spice racks. Keep your chin up and worry more about making that beautiful thing in your skull a masterpiece, rather than what we hide under a bra.

Not all girls start their period or develop at the same age. Many do not mature until 14, 15 or even later. Just be patient. Sometimes if a girl is extremely thin (by this I mean close to anorexic) her periods may be delayed--or stop--so this is probably how the junk food connection started. Junk food won't hasten your period or development. It will just make you fat.

Ah, sweetie! Don't worry! As long as you are a girl, and it sounds like you are, you will eventually get your period and don't worry about boobs. They sag, they ache when you are premenstral, and they get stinky when you sweat and your bra gets wet! Seriously, you WILL get your period. When you do, you will realize, it ain't no picnic. Some girls have pain, others don't. Some girls bleed heavily, some don't. Don't be in such a hurry because you might just regret it! Do you want to have to worry about when you can wear white pants or go swimming? It is comforting to some of us when we get it because we realize we are "grown up" and can have the blessing of children. But for others, it can be not such a blessing.
And stay away from junk food! It just puts too much "junk in your trunk"!
Be patient. Your time will come. Honestly! I know because I'm a girl and I have two of my own.
You might want to ask your mom when she got hers. My girls both got their periods about the same age I did.

There is no set time when you start your period. Everybody starts at a different time. I started in high school. Boobs come when they are ready.. Trust me when you get your period....and after about a year ... you wished you'd never had it. When your body is ready for you to reach puburty , you will. Enjoy not having a period for now. Dont rush it!
Dont listen to what people say. Junk food only gets you FAT!!!

no need to worry everyone matures at a different rate sounds like your getting breast buds from time of breast buds to period is less than 2 yrs. and it's not uncommon for you not to develop before age 15. feel lucky cuz it gives you more time to grow.. once you start your period you can expect ht growth to stop with in a year and only grow 2 inches from present ht so you'll be like a model and grow tall lean and great don't worry it will happen

Just relax. Some girls dont often get their periods until they 15 16 17 1nd 18. It may be that you might be a late developer. When you get your period you wont want it. If you are at all worried get your mum to take you to a doctor for a check up.

Everyone developes at a certain age, and not always the same time. Give it time, you'll get where you want to be. Dont worry about it so much. Life's too short to worry over one thing for too long. Best of luck.

don't worry, 1 of my friends got her period when she was 15, n then she grew so fast suddenly n is taller than me now(she was 1of the shortest persons in class), so dont worry about that, n please don't eat junk food, coz the saturated fats will propably make u fat, n it doesnt help, n try to drink some milk, coz it contains fats n ca n proteins that can build up ur body shape better , coz my very skinny friend tried n it really helped her start her period n have a better body shape.

Oh lord have mercy, those things will come in time. I prayed for them and now I have size F. Don't worry about it too much right now, at thirteen don't worry about impressing boys, all they are is trouble. I promise you. Don't turn to junk food, then you'll get fat and unhealthy.
