There are many flight programs available in local and regional universities and colleges. Private schools are also available. T.o start, go to a local civil aviation airport and talk to an instructor pilot. Cessna runs many such schools in the US

Go to the local airport and ask for the local groundschool. Once enrolled there, they equip you with the necessary tools and knowledge to get your license.
