If I want mexican food, without a doubt Aculpoco Joe's on Illinois St. If I want steak you have to go with St Elmo's or Ruth's Cris. If you want IMHO the BEST italian its a tie between Buca Di Bepo downtown or Maggiono's out on the east side. Maggiono's has the neatest atmosphere, but you cant beat the Pope room at Buca. And last but not least the best breakfest would be Le Peep

Plenty of good ones; the downside is that Indy is practically the world capital for chain restaurants, so if you're looking for something you won't find anywhere else, you're going to have a hard time unless you know the city pretty well.

For my money, Greek Islands on S. Meridian is the best non-chain joint in town.

Breakfast: A2Z Cafe on 96th across from the Honda dealership in a strip mall.

Lunch: Damn, I can't remember the name of the place - a Greek place near fountain square. Starts with an S. I think. Excellent!

Dinner: I love Dunaway's in the spring and fall sitting on the roof. Winter time, you can't go wrong with a steak at St. Elmos. Pizza, it's Bazbeaux. Still looking for great Chinese, Mark Pi's is pretty good (north side).

Gotta go now... I'm hungry!

Ruth's Chris north side favorite. also Spaghetti Factory, Hyatt Regency, and most like to try would be Morton's downtown. Yats for cheap eats used to be $4 for half plate of cajun makes a good meal and the price includes tax. Union Jack Pub best pizza.

El Rodeo is the BEST Mexican restuarant! You can eat there and walk out completely stuffed (food still on the plate) for around $30/couple. And that is with alcohol! :)

If you want "casual" with good food and a nice atmosphere;
I would recommend Bahama Breeze. You'd think you're in Florida soaking up the sun. :-)
