Everyone is different. I had it done once myself and bled the WHOLE 3 months...every day. It was awful for me! It seemed it took a couple of months after the bleeding stopped before my cycles were back to normal too. It is not a method I would ever choose again!

I was on the depo shot for 3 years straight. I never bled, never gained weight, nothing. It is the best birth control ever. I stopped taking it to become pregnant and i did in a year well 11 months.

I've been taking it for about 8 years. I love it. I don't intend on having anymore children so I don't know if it's hard to get pregant after taking it.

I haven't had a period in these 8 years, wonderful! No weight gain. No bone problems. I have heard all these terrible things about it, but I would swear by it. It's the best thing in the world for me, except the cost. But, all birth control is expensive and to just worry about it 4 times a year is great.

I dont know for sure but i beleive so, i took it only 3 times after my daueghter was born. I was fine until I started taking it. At first I did not know what was wrong with me after 3 years I found out I had rheumatoid arthritis and had also been really depressed. I later found out it does cause you to loose bone. I only used it 3 times because I had been feeling bad but never knew it could do such damage. But I think it depends on your body I think everyone is different.
