It's about even between the SEC and Big 10. They're both really good conferences. The Big 10 has some of the best teams, but the SEC pulls out the best conference title with the best overall talent.

For football the SEC is currently the best, but they also do not have as high academic standards as other conferences. According to history the Pacific 10 conference is considered the conference of champions with more total athletic national championships then any other conference. UCLA most basketball titles, USC most football titles, USC most baseball titles. Stanford University is generally considered the finest university in the nation when it comes to the combination of both academics and athletics.

The SEC probably has the best depth of any conference but the top teams aren't any better than the top teams in the other conferences.
The SEC has a lot of myth and lives in the past, the glory days of the SEC are long gone and it's unfortunate that some people can't see that and the pundits drink the kool aid every year.

Nope, I'm a proud Big XII alum (A&M) but I have got to say that SEC has had some of the best teams year in and year out for like the entire decade. Good Luck with the Buckeyes!
