I format a New hard disc using FDISK, i partition and when i format using the standard command(format c:/s) is not accepting, now what is the subtitute for command (format c:/s). thanks.

the formatting will be done when you delete and recreate the partitions.

Otherwise the command is
format c: /s
A space is needed between the colon and the /s

first, did you restart the pc to dos mode after running FDISK?
second, based on your typed question, you have no space after the drive specification. 'format c: /s'
Also you can name your volume too add '/v:[volume name]'
Have you ever typed 'format /?' at the prompt? There is a lot of choices.

I believe they took that out as far back as WINME. To copy system files (Boot Disk) you have to create it in Windows. So, basically, there is no subtitute. You could go to Utimate Boot Disk and they should have something that'll do what you want.
