Depends how much you're willing to spend and what you plan to do with it.
For Gaming:
The MacBook is good enough to run any game released for MacOS, however the Intel GMA is not good enough to run certain windows games.
Macbook pro comes with much more powerful cards that run games much better (or at all for EA games).
For office work, school and portability: The Macbook is smaller and lighter, and uses less battery power. It runs office programs jsut as well as its counterpart and will run videos and music just as well too.
The Macbook Pro is a little more bulky, but has more power under the hood for 3d work and video editing.
Price: The Macbook is more affordable.
The Macbook pro is a little more "Premium" priced.

Hey Frankie,
Obviously MacBook Pro is better than a MacBook. The MacBook Pro has a faster processor, larger hard drive, as well as other hardware, and has more benefits. The MacBook is still good, but is meant for regular consumers, where the MacBook Pro is more for professional users that need more umph.
Still, you are paying for that. If you don't really need the specific hardware, why pay extra for stuff you don't need. It's really up to you, and what you want, Frankie. Best of luck in your decision.

macbook is for aminly home use..like typing internet for email little gaming. BUt the macbook pro is faster better stronger with a better dual processor. This is made for pure business and gaming. High graphics and everything. The macbook pro is abt 2000 dollars while the macbook is about 1100 dollars. The macbook pro is very powerful..don't buy unless you are going to use it for high gaming and business graphicing. If you are using it for school a few games and media I suggest the macbook. Becasue teh mac book is really fast too..just not a fast. I have both notebooks the pro and reg. and they are both great. The pro is just much faster for gaiming.

the regular macbook looks cooler so yah its in white or black, instead of silver
