You see back in the deep dark past in the era of the 1960s and 1950s and even beyond this what is known now as LIBERALS began to formulate their theories and ideas. Especially as regards to the social aspects of their idealogy. You had a whole lot of academics who formulated theories, for various reasons.
But they did not test these theories. They merely wish them to be so and concluded that they must be right. There is no record of the testing of these theories with the possible exception of Margaret Mead's sexual theories about the pacific islanders. But as it turned out we found out many years later that the young girls who she had interviewed to formulate her theories were playing a standard pacific island joke on her. And of course there is Freud. He just presumed his theories and many are being dispoven or superceded today.
Also I myself used to associate with many of the radicals and hippies of the late 60s and early and mid 70s. This was when today's liberalism was being formed. I know them. The basic bottom line motive for their beliefs come in two forms. One, that they were cowardly, selfish , soft and indolgent-not much situted to the society at the time which taught various realities. So they formulated their beliefs around that fact . Also being of this type they had not the discipline to sucseed in that society. Thus they were envious. Thus they rejected the society at the time and formulated their beliefs to fit their deficiencies.
Furthermore, in my country Australia, when the whole thing fell to pieces in 1975 with the sacking of the Whitlam government(a labour-socialist-small l liberal government) the trendies as they were then all abondonded the hippy ideals, sold out and joined at least by appearence-society. I say appearence because deep down they still have the same attitudes. Deep down they only believe in one thing-themselves. And if it suits them they will change their chant. Also I say small l liberal because in Australia we have a party called the Liberal Party which is completely different. It is the party John Howard is head of.
So basically, although these people would like to believe in such nonesense as it suits their disposition and character to do so, deep down the only thing they believe in is THEMSELVES. At the slightest turn of fortune they would veer direction to suit themselves, their fortune and their hate and jealousy. If Hitler were to be resurrected and put on the throne, they would just as easy perform the nazi salute and shout Sieg Heil. After all, aren't the two philosophies similarly intolerant and dishonest. Haven't you noticed that both want to silence their opponents by any means and both do not beck any critisism of their doctorines, no matter how slight, and seek to punish those who do with any and all threat and punishments without reason and limit. The villian is the same-only the dress and colours have changed. Both want to destroy human freedom and enforce their views upon others. The peoples of Europe were in a very unenviable position 70 years ago when Hitler came to power. Heaven helps us if the liberals ever come to power. But they have failed. They have been exposed by their lies and by human nature for what they are. They will be relegated to the garbage can of history were all such scum deserve to go.

I agree completely with questioner. whether each and every individual likes it or not the British inhabitants have rejected Cameron's request for him to have an basic majority and rejected the return of a Labour government with am basic majority, nor do they desire the Libs to control on their very own. it truly is obvious that very many citizens wanted there to be a hung parliament, so as that's what we ended up with because of the fact the democratic selection of the united kingdom inhabitants. it truly is unquestionably democratic in certainly one of those concern everywhere in the finished international that as quickly as that occurs there will be a coalition government and it truly is obviously greater rational for this to be constituted of the two events that have the main MPs in the Commons relatively than with events having lots fewer seats. So it truly is time this petty minded squabbling between Brown and Cameron replaced into suspended till the severe issues dealing with our financial equipment have been addressed via a central authority of national team spirit on behalf of the united kingdom inhabitants till our financial equipment is out of trouble back.

Oh! For Heaven's sake, of course, I believe my ideology is valid AND moral!! Do you really think that I would espouse something that I felt was bad for the people of the world? I'm sorry, but your question is specious.
If there is anything I hate, it is being wrong. (Though, unlike many others, I will admit it when I am.) But I have been a radical/liberal for most of my 60 years, and I feel that my views have been vindicated at every turn.
Did you just ask this to tick us off?
edit: Maybe a revoultion every few years wouldn't be such a bad thing...Oh! wait...we do it at the polls....

seems valid to me...........
Liberalism is an ideology, philosophical view, and political tradition which holds that liberty is the primary political value.[1] Liberalism has its roots in the Western Age of Enlightenment, but the term has taken on different meanings in different time periods (for example now in the United States generally it means new liberalism while in the rest of the world has the meaning of classical liberalism).
Broadly speaking, liberalism emphasizes individual rights. It seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power (especially of government and religion), the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected.[2] In modern society, liberals favor a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed.

Well liberals stem their ideas from the concept of liberalism, which comes from liberate or free thinking. Socrates and Benjamin Franklin were all suspected liberals who want to promote ideas of that come the idea that the human spirit want to be free. While conservativism is rooted into tradition and the resistance of change. For a black conservative, if you endorse a backward step even a slight one...I think that its an error in judgement oin your behalf. Remember...money isn't everything.

Mr. Jeffords.. your question is asked as an insult. your conclusion that we are wrong deep down is generated from your own head space.. in short. Your own bigotry belies the question.. so don't look for an answer because you didn't really ask a question... and I will admit
I am most puzzled by black conservatives.

Wow, when I ask questions I tend to make my question itself valid and as concise as I can (even though I have a lot of irrefutable dirt on the Bush Administration). But you don't even try to type something intelligent or meaningful.
We are, and have been, more correct than conservatives on a broad gambit of issues. Liberals care that the standard of living for many are going down the drain, due mostly to the lowered spending on social programs.
Guess what. We should be asking YOU that question. You people even try to defend Bush when we comment on his apathy about illegal immigration. How pathetic! Also, do you enjoy seeing the Habeas Corpus go out the window, or secret spying programs on our people, or secret prisons that the government did not tell anyone about?

Can you support your claim that liberalism does not work? It's worked whenever there was a liberal in the White House. Two of our greatest presidents, Teddy Roosevelt and Franklin Roosevelt were liberals. Yes, Teddy was a Republican, but his ideals and the reforms he put in place (like the FDA, Conservationism, and Trust-Busting) were all liberal ideas.
