When I turn on my pc, I would first have to click on a user account name before the desktop would show (that is, before I would be able to do anything). How do I get rid of this? I think I tried Control Panel --> User Accounts --> Change the way users log on and off --> then uncheck the "Use the Welcome screen" option....but it doesn't work (i might be wrong) ....help pls? thank you

Download a copy of tweak UI you can actually find this at microsoft web site and it has an option to automatically login. Goodluck.

are you the only account on that uses the computer? if you have multiple accounts then this is needed or else the other accounts would not be able to be used. If you are the only account that uses the computer, then delete any other accounts then your own and it should fix your problem
