I think making him a martyr was a bad idea. A bad idea coming out of Washington? Never. (I hope the sarcasm wasn't too subtle.) I'm afraid that there will be more attacks here in the UK and in the States in the coming year. I suggest staying away from the Tube and subways in the States. Also, I won't be flying on airlines owned by either country. I do plan on visiting relatives in the States this year. I'll probably fly KLM or Air France. But those countries sided with the illegal immoral war. I guess I'll swim.

Once again - it was the decision of an Iraqi court, an Iraqi judge and an Iraqi jury. It would have been counter productive to interfere after all of the efforts we have made to assure the Iraqi people that this is indeed a government which answers to the people - and not the other way around.

Personally, I think it was very appropriate.

I think it was a very bad choice, because now us muslims are feeling sympathy towards Saddam. Specially that the time of his death prevented him from attending the Eid parayers.
It feels like it was a symbol that he is the sheep (because we usually slaughter a sheep in eid al adha)

Technically, the holiday didn't start until sunrise.Saddam was executed before sunrise.Either way,it was the Iraqi people who made that decision, not the US.

It was either another example of Bush's administration calling the shots without understanding the either the culture they are dealing with or the ramifications of their actions, or it was a deliberate effort by the Shia-dominated Iraq government to insult and enrage the Sunnis. Or both.
