For the first poster, you should come to Nanjing in China. The population of this city was executed during WWII by the Japanese. And totay all the Chinese I know will tell you that they hate Japanese.

I have a Chinese friend who doesn't look like a real Chinese. One day we went to the restaurant and the boss asked her from where she was coming from. To joke, she replied that she was half Japanese. The boss stoped, his breathing too, he was uneasy in front of her. And he was maybe 35 years old.

The hate for Japanese is real here and all across the country and the fact that the government don't recognize that they killed 300.000 persons in only 3 weeks.

So don't say that nobody cares.

you're discussing conflict crimes from over 50 years in the past. the folk who did this are lifeless. No jap individual, nor the present jap government, has something to do with this. Now, on the time it befell, the jap government DID hide it. Japan did each and every thing they might to erase issues like Unit 731, the Nanjing bloodbath, and something of its conflict crimes from the historic past books. Nazi Germany tried to hide the Camps yet failed. They have been caught throughout the act. it is amazingly uncomplicated. a great part of Scottish historic past grew to become into erased via the English, as an occasion (the Highland Clearances, as an occasion). u . s . of america has tried to hide ITS atrocities via rewriting historic past. Atrocities have been dedicated via ALL events in WWII. They have been additionally dedicated in WWI, the Vietnam conflict, and, i'm specific the different important conflict. throughout the yank Civil conflict, issues have been completed that would, on the instant, be labeled as "Crimes against Humanity" and, maximum easily, what the extra youthful u . s . of america did to the close by human beings have been. this finished apologizing factor would desire to get stupid and get stupid speedy. Are we going to ask the Celts to make an apology for what they did to the Picts?? What pertaining to to the Romans? can we choose apologies from them for the movements of Caligula and many different sadistic Emporers? How pertaining to to the Egyptians preserving slaves throughout the time of the Pyramids? What approximately them? i do no longer think of modern-day Japan or the jap owe absolutely everyone an apology. i think of what they might desire to do is, while their schoolbooks are next revised, comprise the full historic past. Or, undertaking pamphlets to complement their historic past texts. Likewise, i think of that American texts could be rewritten to comprise each and every thing completed in u . s . of america.

Japan did appologies by giving us.... themselves. Japan is literally another US state. Its westernization, free trade, and allied affiliations makes Japan the only Asian country to run itself so close to the US.
Besides if Japan is going to appologies to anyone for their atrocities in WW2, its not going to be the US. Try Korea, and China first.

it's rather simple, history is rewritten all the time, not to mention events that appear to one thing but are actually another.

example:
Hitlers burning of the Reichstag and the attacks on the twin towers. there is even suggestions that the pearl harbor bombing was also fabricated.

also it could be something that they would rather forget, all the people who carried out those atrocities are dead and gone(for the most part) so they may want to barry it all as they all die out.

you may find this interesting

To me, Japan has paid their debt by becoming a highly industrialized nation at peace with its neighbors and one of our main allies in Asia. What are they supposed to do, get on their knees and grovel? That is no way to treat a sovereign nation. Besides, they were on the recieving end of 2 nuclear blasts. I as well as most industrialized nations I'm sure don't care about the past but about the present and the future. They have paid their debt in blood and let us get on with our lives.

Japan has apologized to us, it may not be in any books because it was a dark time in their past and they don't want to remember it

Give them time ... it only took the Pope about 1500 years to apologize for all the atrocious acts committed by the Church.

But in all seriousness ... why the concern about Japan not apologizing for past actions? How about the US apologizing for present ones???

That was like...decades ago. Who cares? The people who were involved in those decisions are long dead or have alzheimers by now. Why hang onto those old wounds any longer? Let it go. We've got enough to worry about with the WWIII going on right now!!
