I get payed $15 an hour....(I don't).......

It is rewarding if you answer serious questions with helpful information. It has always been a pleasure for me to share my knowlege and (debatable) wisdom. As long as we don't spend too much time at it we are OK.

Maybe if you learn something? But i'm pretty sure there are plenty of other more productive things i could be doing right now....

If you feel you are making a difference in someone's life by answering their question, then yes. They may truly need help and you are providing an answer desperately needed.

I sometimes ask myself that same question but I do feel that when answering some questions I am truly helping someone out.
