My axillary(underarm) and cervical(side of neck) lymph nodes are swollen on just the left side they are really sore and tender. It hurts to move my arm around and rotate it. I'm not feeling really bad. I have somewhat of a stuffy nose but no sore throat or anything else....This is been hurting since this morning. Any reasons why they would swell like that and only on the one side?
Also I've had a horrid headache all day.
But that's not too uncommon I get bad headaches every so often. I'm on inderal for that.

I had a swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck too! (not on my arm though)
The reason its is sore is because the swollen gland is putting pressure on your neck
Your lymph nodes are like the "garbage dumps"of your body, after your sick, some times the body will "dump" some of the infected white blood cells there. (this was how a teacher explained it to me)
I at first didn't know what it was, so I was really freaked out
the best way to get rid of it and make the swelling go down is to not touch it a lot, then go to the doctor for some antibiotics.
Thats what I did and in about a week I wasn't sore, and the swelling was gone!!!
Don't worry too much about it!

This happened to me too. I have a Lymph Node, that is swollen, or something, under my left underarm, and I went to the doctor after having it for several months, and he said that it was nothing.
It was, and is very sore a lot of the time, like when I get dressed and the shirt rubs against it, or when I move my arm certain ways. The doctor said to come back if it got any sorer, but it hasn't so far, it's been about a month since I saw him.
I wouldn't worry to much, but if it gets much worse, then you should see your doctor, but it's problem nothing. Try not to worry!!!

Could be a reaction to something you ate or a small bug your body is fighting. If it doesn't go away in 2-3 days, I would see your doctor. The underarm lymph nodes are way to close to the breast to not be concerned about. As for the neck, I had one explode underneath my chin when I was a child. Took them 4 hours to clean me up. Wasn't pretty. Just keep an eye on them is all I'm saying. Hope you feel better!

Heyy!! do not situation in any respect. you purely have a scourge. i'm getting by way of one good now. whenever you get a sore throat you may get swollen glands. (lymph nodes) have not you ever had those in the previous? Its purely a demonstration of a chilly/virus. I even have purely approximately the same factor purely it hurts once I swallow. maximum my temp has long previous is barely a hundred and one. i've got had it for 3 days and that i'm feeling especially a lot greater advantageous now. waiting to flow out by using the next day. purely get somewhat some relax drink fluids and you'll be fantastic. If you have a fever you should be seen asap.
Most docs would put you on a round of antibiotics if your body is showing signs of infection, otherwise rest take it easy and try warm compresses on the nodes to help them to stay draining a decongestant like sudafed will also help with any sinus pressure or headaches you would have, there is also tylenol sinus you could try.
