Look, the guy's a great back, don't ge me wrong. But way too many people want to annoint him the greatest after six seasons. Eric Dickerson had more yards than Tomlinson at this stage, but soon fell apart.
Tomlinson is a very nice back (although he is not the pure runner Brown, Dickerson, Payton or Cambell were in their primes), but don't you think he has a long way to go before we can even hint toward the title "greatest"??

I can definitely see where you are coming from. I would call it more overhyped than overrated. He is a great back, but like you said, he does have a while to go before we can annoint him the G.O.A.T. I still believe that Barry Sanders is the greatest running back to have ever played the game, though Brown and Payton are right behind.

He's not overrated, and he's not underrated. He's rated just about where he should be: The top player in the game today, or at least definitely the top running back. (Only competition for top player is probably Peyton Manning.) He's definitely not the greatest of all-time yet. Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders... they're some of the greatest of all-time. At his current rate LT has a chance to be the greatest of all-time, yes, but he's definitely not yet.

He's not the greatest yet but he has the ability to become the greatest. He's not over rated like the great backs before him he got his yards even on a crappy team

I'm no Charger fan but LT for being such a great player you have to like his humbleness and Bo Jackson might've very well been the best had he not got hurt same thing could happen to LT.

He is only as good as his offensive line his fullback the coaches play calling and his ability. With all these thing he where he needs to be. He might not have this good of a year next year.

I don't think that you can call I guy with his stats "overrated" Maybe the guy who said he was "over-hyped" said it best. Everything in the NFL from TO to Vince Young to Sean Payton to Nick Saben has been "over-hyped" this year and it gets worse EVERY season.
(I also think that the word "overrated" is highly overrated........)

this is the biggest joke I have ever heard. Tomlinson can do everything. He can run, catch, and throw. I think he is the ultimate triple threat!
