Why do people get married when after only a few years of being together they feel like they need to go out and explore new options either sexually or mentally? It seems like its impossible to keep infatuation alive.

Most people get married for love. Which is the right reason of course but sometimes if you are too young or immature when you marry it tends to be more infatuation than love and quite often does not last. That is quite often when people tend to want to stray and explore other options. Then again a lot of people change a lot when they get older or they just get bored and feel that they need a change. I am a great believer in marriage being for keeps and will try to fight to keep my marriage at all costs. A lot of other people are lazy and will just forget their vows and not give them another thought. Marriage is certainly worth fighting for in my book. Hope this helped. Happy New Year !!!

Why? For most I am sure it is a feeling of togetherness forever. Having a significant other is rewarding in so many ways. Sharing is probably the biggest benefit. Sharing the good times is much better when you have someone you love to enjoy them with. Sad times when you have someone to be there for you in times of need sickness, injury or loss of another loved one your spouse then is your safe place in the storm of life. Second question why arent people satisfied and have to seek new options. This is an individual state of mind, but I personally think TV has a lot to do with it. Tv has a clever way of letting us all know that we are not pretty enough, strong enough, rich enough, exciting enough, sexy enough ect ect ect. So this being the case it sure seems to make our lives dull and boring so we look for happiness and usually find it was with us in our own relationships and homes the whole time.

Because the marriage is built on lust and not a solid foundation (like faith and the decision to LOVE). Infatuation fizzles in no time.

In biblical theories, faith keeps it alive. But people push that away then they don't understand why their marriage goes bad. Plus, when you get married before you really know someone is also why the flame dies (because it was probably never truly lit).

People are just too lazy to work on their marriages. Therefore, cheating, abuse, no sex, no emotional attachment occur. It's just laziness. Marriage is hard work and the easy way out is to throw in the towel and get out. It's sad really. To those seriously committed to their marriage, pick up the Bible.
