I never had to sit there for longer than 30 minutes. That's about it unless there is a problem.

Usually just a matter of mins. Somewhere between 10-20 mins. It really depends on how slow the person typing in the information is, how long it takes you to get everything together that they need in order to open the checking account & whether or not you have had a bad history with past banks or major credit issues & they find out about it.

It shouldnt take more than 30 minutes. The bank will have to do a background check on you to make sure you are not a terrorist. Hope your not!

it should take about 30 to 45 min,if it takes longer then that then somethings wrong.

It all depends on the speed of the person doing it. I got stuck with a new bank employee when I did mine and it took like 45 mins!!!!!

if you have the right info and a computer it will take you around 5 minutes on etradebank.com
