sparknotes.com is pretty good about this stuff
but i wouldnt the ideas in a report because teachers can tell if u used it...

there is quotationspage.com
and cliffnotes.com (i use it all the time in my advanced lit class) they have almost every book there. hope it helps .
of course, they only give brief summaries on chapter by chapter, and it i all copy righted, but you can read it and then you know the most important partsof the book.
