85 toyota oil leak?

I have a 1985 Toyota Celica, and it has a oil leak at the back of the motor is this a common problem and what could it be leaking from?

observe the top of the leak...as in only low , up the middle or from the top , dripping all the way down. The oil will always end up on the bottom, but its the origin thats important.

oil pan.. valve cover, rear main seal..
