after a year, my lawyer had put me on continuances for a year. This hole time, I'm thinking that I will serve out my deferred sentenance of 215 days. Needless to say when I went to court the DA did not have confermation of my BA, so the case was dismissed. I'm glad about that, but I feel that my lawyer did not do his job, but I paid the Price any suggestions.

You both have great answers, The only thing is I was still convicted for the the DUI. But being caught in the system, cost me more than it should have. I have met my financial obligation as well as court request for classes, etc. I wonder if I should pay him , what he claims alot more than the contract. since his job is done. Which I feel he didn't meet up to his job responsibilities

I think you should be counting your lucky stars that the case has been dismissed, and you will not have a record know. It sounds like the DA's office did not do its job correctly, so maybe you should be thanking your lawyer for not reminding them of what they had missed. Outcome may have been very different.

Go to another lawyer, perferably out of town and tell him he may be able to get your money back for you.
