Ebay can be good if you know what you're buying and how you are selling. I had a couple bad experiences where i charged too low for the shipping costs and basically got no profit for the items I sold. Also, i've heard many horror stories about people not getting whtat they paid for. Best advice I can give you is to NEEVER buy electronics off Ebay because I got ripped off twice doing that. Once for a cell phone that was a piece of garbage and was only worth about $20 of the $90 i spent for it. Seconnd time I bought this awesome flat panel TV to find out it didn't even come with the power cord that was another $100!!! Be safe and be smart!!!

Ebay has been very profitable for me. I've only had one bad selling experience and the guy was just a wacko. If you have good photographs, honest descriptions, low or no handling charges, quick shipping, and leave positive feedback first because you're confident about your handling of the transaction, buyers will appreciate it.

I've had many bad buying experiences though. Be very careful buying on eBay.

It was *really* profitable, but I only sold one set of items on there.

I would've gotten more, except the girl decided she couldn't use them (tickets) and just ignored the payment step. I had to go rounds with eBay to get the listing fees, etc. back.

You will find people on both side of fence with this question. With me has been nothing but good with both buying and selling. But I guess I am one of the lucky ones. Have sold books, computer, old video games, well mostly electronic stuff.
