You can wash your hair at the kitchen sink - if you have the spray nozzle it is easier but not necessary. And you can run warm water in the bathroom sink and do what the old timers called a "spit" bath. Wash with a wash cloth and rinse with fresh water and another washcloth. It isn't the same as a shower but you will feel better.

You can do what I call a bird bath. It consist of taking a wet wash cloth and washing areas. Then drying off. Also baby powders help cover up smells really well. LOL Right before your surgery when you wash your hair don't put any products in it that way it want feel as dirty. I know what you are going through my mom just had back surgery and couldn't take an actual shower for 2 weeks. We had to do this with her.

Also since you are having surgery the Dr will put you on pain killers and then you want care whether or not your've had a shower, and more than likely you're not going to feel like taking a shower
I hope all goes well with your surgery.

That's why "sponge baths" were invented. I've found that I feel better if my hair is clean. If you're going to be in the hospital for the 4 days see if they have a hand held shower that you can use to at least wash your hair (some hospitals even have a beautician's basin and chair!). If you're not going to be in the hospital see if you can get a friend to help you with this task or go to a hair salon like Super Cuts or the like, explain your situation and se if they will give you a shampoo for a discount. You can always dry your hair at home!

Depends on what is getting surgery done. Take a bath if they affected body part is not submerged in water. Try sponge baths and wash you hair in the sink like when you get it done at a hair salon. If you need help ask a close friend or relitive. You can even ask a lover it can become a very sensual and sexual experience.
good luck

there this products called Bath in a Bag and it contains cloths for all your body parts when you are not able to shower. You heat them up in the microwave. As for your hair, just wash it under the sink.

Try sponge bathing yourself. just wet a rag and run on your arms and hair. If your doctor toldyou not to even do that them I would suggest to just put on your usuall things (deoderant, perfume/cologne. etc.) If you still dont feel clean, just ask you your doctor.
