The youngest of five children, Urie was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, though bandmate Ryan Ross says that Urie is no longer "the good Mormon boy we once knew".

Urie was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints though Ryan has said that he is no longer the good Mormon boy he used to know. His parents kicked him out when he joined panic!. Ryan and Spencer both went to Catholic school together.
