i wanna play a game that requires 256mb of ram, but i only have 191.5mb of RAM, will it still work if i play it and will it damage/harm my computer in any way? thanks.

It wont harm the computer. Some programs just won't load. It will check for memory and report back to you not enough memory.
In the event it did load, your computer will just crawl. There is no fun in that. It will be slow like molasses flowing in winter. It will test your patience and you will be frustrated.

It won't harm your computer at all but gameplay will suffer by being slow and/or pause in the middle of the game. Some games will not even run/start if the game detects that you do not have enough RAM.
