I like songs like Fergalicious and Chain Hang Low. But are songs like that a waste to listen to?

A lot of hip hop/rap music is fun to listen and dance to. Unfortunately, since it's crossed over to the mainstream I truely believe that the messages in most of the songs have allowed the younger population to get out of control with their language and style of dress.

It all depends on your taste. I could listen to Iron Maiden and Megadeth all day long, but I wouldn't spend one second of my time listening to rap. Now on the flip side, someone who absolutely loves rap probably would not even think about listening to metal. So it just depends on the person.

I think it depends on the subject matter, artist, and lyrics. Some of it I enjoy, others make me want to toss my radio out the window.

I enjoyed rap when it first came out about 15 years ago but now I don't enjoy it very much.
But my daughter enjoys it alot.
