Hi,

i was wondering, if a person really wants to accomplish something in life (career wise) will he/she eventually get it?

like for example if a person really feels passionate about a particular dream or goal in life AND does everything in his/her power to come to that, that should ultimately lead the person to success, right?

in other words, does hard work pays off in the long run?

thanks for all ur comments in advance,

Certainly. It might never really pay off financially (in terms of a career) but determination will always lead to fulfillment and success in some way.

I like the way Thoreau said it:

"If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favor in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings."

I think so much depends on what you want. I have a cousin who is an actor. He went to the Yale school of drama for his degree, but he hasn't gotten the breaks that would put him in a position to be famous, so he's now directing and likes that. However, in a lot of fields, especially if you are adept at what you do, odds are you probably will, barring any bad breaks. But, I do think it depends on each individual circumstance.

No not hard work alone .
It all depends on how intense your desire is . If it is your one burning desire it will come to be .
Or if you totally INTEND to have something it can not fail , the only catch is that you Never Waver in your intent .
The problem is that most people get discouraged at some point or other .
