If you want to listen to some real Underground Hip/Hop check out:
-Atmosphere, Aceyalone, Living Legends, Zion I, Heiroglyphics. These are just a few Underground groups/artist that have real lyrics w/ true meaning in their songs.

If you don't know Daydreamin by Lupe Fiasco was an underground song that became real popular. I love it and suggest it. If you have music Lauchcast on yahoo messenger they have a station you could listen to. It is directly dedicated to underground hip hop music.
Click on the head phones. Then browse all stations. Scroll down to Genres click on Urban and you will find undergroud hip hop. Good listen to ya.

Not really underground but definately not mainstream bling bling commercial rap. Blackalicious, The Roots, Talib Kweli, Common, Del Tha Funky Homosapien and Dan the Automator's Deltron 3030 project. Any of these guys and the people they're associated with.
