To the 2 cent homie below, no, for most people, college is for learning. Are you a leader in the African-American community?

Mechanic Bob,

You might want to stop being a grease monkey, and learn to read a newspaper once in awhile. It's one of the most published news stories of the day little fella.

Is g.w.bush now considered a "homie" because we all know that he did plenty of cocaine. He admitted it. It has fried his brain, and at least half of America, (the half that voted for Bush) must be on the powder too. That is how you explain the mess that we are in now.
Cocaine is the real culprit here, along w/ g.bush's alcoholism.
Not the "nickle bags" that Sen. Obama inhaled in his youth. This is evident because back in the 2002 Sen. Obama said he was opposed to this war, because it was for the wrong reasons.
-He got it right, way back then.
And even though Pres. Bill Clinton did or didn't inhale the herb, it was okay, he didn't get us into a war.
And g.bush is the one who just pardoned several drug dealers. You perhaps think if needed be, he would've pardoned his real "homey" druggie r.limbaugh. do you think "ditto's" might be code for drugs in the hood of west palm beach?
So now we are all clear on who is the real "homey" here.
But i think bush is more like "homey the clown"

His drug problems will definitely be a huge topic should he end up winning the Democratic Presidential ticket in the future.

I'm sure the Republicans will be able to find his drug dealer and you'll have your answer then. Still, to sit here and pretend that most politicians never experimented with drugs is a little naive. If I was Obama, I would have denied and denied some more like the Republicans. Just apologize when you get caught.

I assume you must be a gun toting Republican who thinks war is great for the economy since you are assuming about a democrat! But didn't "I'm a weekend warrior and don't need to go to war" GW get arrested for drinking and driving and coccaine use....oh no wait, he had a daddy that was part of the CIA and didn't have to worry about that! I guess if Obama had Big Daddy Bush he could get out of wars and charges, have ballots thrown and become president even though he can't pronounce words and looks like Dan Qualye's cousin! Great points you have brought up! I really like that Eric Clapton point! I guess GW's song would be the Highway to Hell because that is what he is doing to USA!
And what was college doing for GW??? Oh yeah his daddy went there so getting in there was easier than getting Florida for GW in the first election....what was the gov's name then??? Oh $hit thats right Jed Bush! But thats different right?!

In recent memory, our most recent president "Nonetheless, Mr. Bush maintained his flight status until 1972, when he failed to show up for a required physical. His campaign initially said he did not return to Houston because his family physician was unavailable to conduct the physical. When it was made clear such exams are given by military doctors, the campaign then explained that Mr. Bush did not take the physical because he had "decided" he would no longer fly. This is a unique approach to military service when the enlistee gets to "decide" his future duties. The year Mr. Bush skipped his physical, 1972, was also the first year the Guard began to institute random drug testing procedures. Mr. Bush was grounded, his flight status revoked, and a punishment order was signed posting him to civilian duty in Denver. No evidence has ever been presented that he showed up there, either."

where did you hear this? no that it matters at this juncture. Probably 80% or more politicians have done drugs at some point in their lives. Most would never admit it though. and I don't know if Bush snorted or not. But I do know an alcoholic when I see one.Bush always looks as though he is in the midst of withdrawal,.................from something..poor thing.

I don't think he admitted any such thing. Plus, if we excluded everyone who experimented with drugs from public office, think of how many people that age (45) with something great to offer this country would be unable to share their talents.

I don't think it really matters. He's not doing it anymore, and from the sounds of it, it was part of experimentation in college. The guy we have in the White House, on the other hand, was an actual coke addict. And an alcoholic. Got elected anyway.
