Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.
I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.
You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.
The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving and merciful God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Hi my friend. You've asked the question of the ages. The answer is not a number, a place, a word or a feeling. The answer is you and your eternal progression. You (what you think and do) are the meaning. And how far you progress spiritually is a big part of it. It's also me and my eternal progression. Then it's all of us together. That's the start. Then it's all the experiences we have that forward that progress. Whether we know it or not, we're always learning and progressing--even when we don't think we are. We all need to experience many of the opposites life has to offer and learn the lessons attached to each of them. This has all been ordained by God. Hopefully you have what it takes to find the fullness of truth in this world--for I assure you that it is available to all the penitent and humble seekers after God. So, I guess all this precludes a belief in him. Well, you've got to plant the seeds to reap the fruit. It never hurts to plant a seed. You'll know if it's a good one if it continues to grow through proper nurturing. Just remember that in large measure, it's up to you. You don't always know what's in store for you but you've got to do your part to the best of your ability. Each of our lives means something and we all need to learn how to coexist peacefully on this planet (which we often have trouble doing). So, the sum total of all the thoughts and actions of all participants on this planet is the meaning of life. Don't look at all the bad only---or only the good. You've got to look at both. On the surface it may seem hard to decipher but with pondering and prayer, you can get all the answers.

I can't tell you the meaning of life. The meaning of life is whatever you make out of it. My life has a meaning, yours has a different one. Or maybe, there is no meaning. Its up to you to decide.

What is meaningful to one is the meaning of life to that person. If one does not find life meaningful, it begs the question if one knows oneself. When one does, one finds ones meaning of life. Personally, for me, I find meaning in helping people who help themselves in making their dream come true, whatever their dream is.

What is tough? Life. What is Life? A magazine. How much does it cost? It cost twenty cents. I only have a nickel. That's tough.
