let me give u a example what is yellow, it a gas that solidify a neg 101 c? if u answer chlorine u are correct. If there was no chemical sensor, the properties is the only way that u can tell the different elements apart. assuming it a element not a compounds. physical properties are anything that u can see, feel and taste (acids taste sour). back to the chlorine. Lets just say u are a front line soldier in WWI, u see this yellow gas coming out of this can that was fired from an enemy cannon. Since you seen this u void walking into it and getting kill.
