breeding female crowntail with male vieltale what would the fry look like vieltale with spikes or any ideas

Hey, I have one of those... It does indeed look like a spikey veiltail and apart from the spikes, the fins are actually wider and longer than the normal veiltail. It's quite a pretty fish although it looks more like a veiltail than a crowntail.

The young will be a mix, some like mother, some like father, some with a combination of the traits, some with neither. There are mathematical formulas to figure this sort of thing out,but first you must know about dominant and recessive traits. It gets real complicated real fast,but is very interesting and rewarding to study. Might try a web search on Betta genetics. Good luck.PeeTee

there will be a mixture...and they may not even come out as either..but a different kind of breed....if you do have more information on how your breeding the two can you please tell me as well
