Yes, I think the frequent use of any profanity undermines intelligence, besides it is unattractive, not classy, and unapproachable. It is okay, if it slips out once in a while.

Except you can have an extensive vocabulary and still talk like a sailor. I know plenty of people that do and some are extremely eloquent. You have a point. A very close firend of mine said he was going to stop altogether for the reasons that you mentioned.
But it's kind of like assuming someone has no class, money, ect. because they aren't dressed up. I am not less educated or experienced when I am wearing sweats.

Using any particular word does not dictate a lack of intellegence nor does it pertain to the vastness of a persons vocabulary.
It could be a lack of understanding or concern for what a lot of people might think is acceptable language usage.
I think most people that swear frequently are doing so out of habit.
For these people it is a "lazy" speech pattern and it takes effort to not swear.

While I do NOT consider myself a genius I also do NOT consider myself an idiot. If I am with guys or with women whose use vulgar language then I am comfortable using it. I will also NOT use vulgar language in the presence of women as a rule. This being done out of respect. But we also to some degree STILL HAVE what is called FREEDOM of SPEECH. This is only until BIG BROTHER finds a way to put a stop to it. BUT we still have it at present.

Sometimes.
I use the word a lot when I'm angry, just to get my point across, but my vocabulary does extend pretty far beyond the expletives I use when I'm mad or having a bad day.

Lord, yes. I don't blame people for saying certain words in certain situations, but when they come out with seven or eight f-words in a single sentence, and they're not even mad, they just talk like that, I start wondering if they know any other words.

Yes, I agree, but sometimes it helps to convey intense feelings and get your point across better. If you've ever watched the movie, On Golden Pond, you'll know what I mean.

I would imagine that someone would have to be very aggravated and annyoyed to continually use that word. But some use it because they want to feel tough
