My school has spring break and Easter break.

because there is NO fall break..besides its a college thing, having to do with..hmm good question.. I really haven't a clue

Schools simply renamed the traditional Easter vacation as Spring Break so that they "wouldn't be forcing religion on the students". There isn't a major holiday in the fall that traditionally received a week off for religious reasons, so there is no Fall break that lasts a week, only a series of short breaks that give you three and four day weekends.

In the Fall, you get a short break at Thanksgiving, and a long break after finals for the holidays. If they had a longer break in the Fall, they would have to start earlier.

Actually, there is a lot of schools that have both fall and spring break. It just depends on the schools trustees.

actually some universities have a fall break. it's not as long as spring break and occurs around Columbus day.

because spring break was first made for easter, and there aren't any major holidays in the fall. halloween isn't that big.
