One thing to learn...Bravery has no ideology. Most cowards I know are people who talk about bravery and waving flags while real people are dying, so pundit people can make fun of the situation in their privilege station of life without knowing what's happening overseas. This is from experience.
I'm a former combat veteran from two tours of duty in Vietnam from 1968 to 1971. I never tell war stories, but I have enough shrapnel in my body where I can't pass through a metal detector without setting it off. I went on to study various disciplines in college and I learned somethings...
And yes I do consider myself a liberal, but I also bled and killed for my country. On the Vietnam Memorial Wall the names you see of the black wall of stone are conservatives, liberals, cowards, and heroes who all died in service of that foreign policy that wasn't rooted completely in the truth.
You'll see when the facts of this Iraq War comes to the surface...it'll hit you pretty hard. It did me when I got home in the 70's. Always know that you should always question the motives of your government, especially when there is money on the table. It amazing how history sometimes repeats itself in one lifetime.
