You may wish sell all your old books at Bras Basah Complex in Singapore. It is the only building which is selling and buying old textbooks, magazines and other relevant reading materials. Of course, these shops also sell new books.

Just walk around the shops and ask them for the best price for your old books. And if some of your books are kept in good conditions, you can even ask them to fetch for a better price.

Visit http://www.streetdirectory.com for the location and http://www.smrt.com.sg for transportation info to reach the destination.

Tertiary textbooks are good to sell on Internet, Eg. Yahoo Auctions. Else, books like fiction and comics, unless you have the entire series or if it is limited version / already out of print, you can just donate it to The Salvation Army instead cos' there is basically no value in it.

You can sell them on half.com or eBay. I know loads of people who buy used books off the internet to save money.
