I use to sleep for like 12 to 13 hours every night. I'd go to bed at 12:30 to1:30 a.m. every night, and wake up at 12:30 or1:30 p.m. the next day, and I'd be so tired like all day until about 11:00 p.m. And I was only 13 at the time. I just turned 14 about 4 days ago, and for the past 2 or 3 weeks I've been going to bed at like 9:45 p.m., or 10:45 p.m., and wake up at 7:30 a.m. everyday. I still sleep around 9 or 9 1/2 hours a night, but I feel much more awake, and perky during the days. I also use to get headaches a lot, and I wasn't very active at all, but now I'm up, and moving around, so I get way fewer headaches, and don't get light headed as easily either.

I'm much happier with getting up early, and going to bed at a decent hour. I love mornings, i can't believe I missed them all this time.

Hope I helped!!!

I don't know about the rest of the world, but more sleep for me isn't allways better. Actually, it usually spells a f*cked up sleep cycle. 7 or 8 hours is what's recomended, and that's usually the amount of time that will be most restfull.

I'd love to give a real scientific answer as to why you're more tired after waking up from a long sleep, but I can't. I just know that most times I feel better after 6hours than 15*yes, i've slept that long before*

You slept too long. Or, you could be sick. Sometimes if you sleep too long you can actually feel more tired than if you would have just slept eight hours. I, for example, have slept about 15 hours of the past 24 hours because I am sick with a horrible fever and cold and I've been taking NyQuil. Try just getting a normal 8 hours and stay away from caffeine!

Your are tired because you are probably used to getting a lot, or very few hours of sleep! If you even it out you will be tired! Also, you could be doing too many things during the day for your body to function right! Just slow it down on the daily activities, but make sure you still get good exersize! DONT BE A COUCH POTATO!
