I personally do not know, but fads and fashion just comes and goes. I might guess that the braid fad is over in the hip-hop world and went to being more serious about their music than their style. That is what becoming an artist is all about, and they moved on. Beside, who cares if they cut their braids off. They're just normal people who perfer a different style just like the 6 billion people on the Earth.

so they can get more jobs as actors all celebrities today seem to wanna do it all . the braids probably dont fit with alot of the roles being offered .I saw ludacris on regis the other morning and he said the braids took alot of time and hed been braided with every design you could think of no braids make him feel free

Part of the reason why rappers are cutting their braids is because they get tired of looking at them and they think it is time for a change. Another reason is because once one person does it , it becomes a trend and they all do it.
