Charity the greatest of all virtues. They teach us that there are always those that are less fortunate than ourselves. They challenge us to practise kindness to the less fortunate. They also challenge us to seek justice and balance.

Obviously not much. Unless you want a crash course in being homeless, impoverished, starving and suffering. Me, I think I'll take a pass on Misery 101.

here's a bit of info I found out about the homeless. these are people who have above all mental issues that stem from childhood, in, I would guess most cases.
there's other people that have or had the same issues that are not on the streets, have a job, home even a family. The difference between the two people, is resources to having their issues worked out. a lot of homeless don't have friends or other family to rely on. and they are left with their mental cripledness to fend for themselves. I used to think, wow, they could easily get them selves together, all they have to do is this and this and this.....no, these people have severe problems.....they lack the "know how".

They are here to teach us EMPATHY, COMPASSION, NOT TO FEEL SO SORRY FOR OUR OWN SELVES. They teach us to be sharing, and that somewhere in their lifetime, something dramatic changed to put them where they are at. DId they NOT have someone to care? I don't see them as VICTIMS, no one is a victim... I see them as ignorant in going about things and totally disregarded by the mainstream. There are resources out there to help them, but dang imagine sleeping in a bus station cement bench at night. Dang. They teach us not to take things for Granted. Everyone in your life comes to you to bring you a gift. Thiese are the gifts of these homeless, impoverished people.

humilaty and compassion. No matter how upset you are Billy didn't ask you to the dance or your mom didn't buy you that cute outfit you've wanted forever. Look up at the rest of the world maybe things aren't that bad for you.

I've talked to alot of homeless people and you'd be suprised how much they're not far off from you and me. A lost job, a dead family, their spouse left them, they lost their house. Little things we take for granted, things that happen to us, what if they didn't? What if the opposite happend? There's plenty to learn, plenty to be thankful for, and plenty to do to help.

That we are a social species and that is our purpose. We are supposed to help each other to eat, to heal and to proliferate and if we cannot we will too one day be extint just like all the other species who fail to do what they born to do...............and the meek shall inheret the earth,,,,,,,,,,because if you know anything about the improverished, the starving and the suffering you know this..........that is what they do.........help each other to survive ...the have to and it isnt a choice. We dont really have any we just think we do.
