I am a paralegal and I work for an Attorney who handles Divorces in Missouri. I was married in Pennsylvania in 1981 and divorced my husband when I moved to Missouri in 1992, you can live in any state, file there and then your spouse would be served in the other state. Laws maybe different in each state so check with an Attorney to see how long you have to be a resident before you can file for the divorce.
