It has nothing to do with being female. It has to do with not paying attention, and he does it to, or only drives 250 miles a year.

I only once hit the curb, when i just had my drivers license. In the last 16 years, i never hit the curb.
One in the three car rides with my sister, she has hit the curb. I know at least one reason why: it didn't matter her in the least. Probably because she doesn't have to pay it when there's something wrong with the car; mostly our parents are going to pay for it.
You should know, it's not only the wheels who wear out if you hit the curbs now and then. Everything where the wheels are connected to, deteriote too.
Note: it's a known fact that girls are not as good as boys where it concerns 3D. (Girl brains function different.) That will be a factor.
Likewise there is this difference in the brain: girls are better when doing multiple things at a time.

It is not necessarily a female thing, but it is proven science that spatial relativity is a male thing, so as a woman, you are more likely to hit the curb more often, but this does not mean that your father never will, nor does it mean that men are inherently better drivers, men (generally) have a natural advantage to things like driving because of their genes, but it is also a male tendency to be "manly" and ignore safety precautions, and hit the curb. Please do not take this as a sexist opinion, as it does have scientific backing, but women and men are made differently, and therefore are naturals for different things. Just take great pleasure in pointing it out to your father next time HE bumps something. Damn male pride...

TRULY, just because you hit the curb every now and then, doesn't mean you don't know how to drive. Everyone has hit the curb at least once, even the "perfect" drivers, male or female. So what's all the fuss about?
and Amandasmile, what I meant was that no one's perfect, I wasn't trying to play the sex card.

If I couldn't drive because I hit a curb twice a year, this guy would be walking. I don't do it very often, but I bet 6 -8 time a year would be fair.

I've hit the curb a couple times (going less than 35 most of the time), and I've never gotten a flat tire. Although, my cars kind of new (6 months), so I would hope the tire wouldn't go ghetto on me now! I hit it every month or so, but I've been getting better about it XD.

I used to drive a truck for a living, logging over 80,000 miles a year, and have never hit a curb.

Oh Mindy...this made me laugh...I drive over curbs all the time. I have to parallel park where I live, and many times, I have to drive up over the curb to fit a tight space.
