Bob died from an old soccer injury to his foot. The Rastafarian religion does not believe in going to a doctor. By the time Bob did go his foot was so infected it was cancerous and began to spread. The doctors wanted to amputate his toe. That was 1977. He made more music until he went to Germany to be treated for the cancer. He died from that cancer spreading to the rest of his body and eventually his brain.

He died because of a brain tumor. If he had been assassinated, the world would certainly know about it and he would definately be a martyr in Jamaica. Considering the fact that his wife, his children and his close friends always discuss his death in terms of cancer...my guess is it was probably cancer. End of story.

No, he died of cancer. It was a toe injury from playing soccer. There was an assasination attempt on him in his home country of Jamaica, but he was only grazed by the bullet, not seriously injured. His wife, supposedly got a bullet in the head, but was released from the hospital in a couple of days. She wore a large scarf on her head for several days to cover the bandages.

some ppl might say youre dumb, but actually he was almost assasinated once, it was right before a big elction in some country, dont remember, but many ppl thought his songs had a certain political messasge to it and was backing a certain person running, and he was shot, that person did end up winnin, that may sound stupid, but in that particular country he was so big most the population believed he could sway the turn out, but with all that said when he did eventually die i dont believe he was assasinated
