Accupuncture is the use of needles to stimulate or block the flow of ch'i in the meridians.

Accupuncture is very good for lots of maladys. I remember once on 60 minutes back about 20 years ago; there was an accupuncturist who used accupuncture in New York to help people beat the addiction to Herioin.

People get depressed because of the lack of ch'i flowing in their body. so yes accupuncture will help depression. If you exercize; this will also stimulate the flow of ch'i, and lift your mood.

What is good for depression and stress is something to the effect of just reducing your stress like your work load, etc. Acupuncture has NEVER been proven to cure anything at all by the FDA, the only people that authorize it's use are oddball Chinese doctors, who knows what else they teach over there?

I have been going to acupuncture since last August. It has decreased my anxiety levels a lot. I am going for headaches <25years worth> and fibromyalgia. It has given me more strength and less pain.

If you go, make sure it's a licensed practitioner. Make sure they are "5 Element" practitioners. Look up practitioners in your local yellow pages and then look them up online, unless you have friends who have been.
