Every 30 minuetes or so you need to refocus your eyes on something else. Look out the window, accross the room, anything but take your eyes off the screen. Your eyes are a muscle and like any muscle if it not used properly or used improperly damage can occur.

I have been using computers for close to 20 years. When I first started I didn't need glass, I do now.

If you are still not sure, check with your optometrist for recommendations.

Good Luck!

I believe they have screens that are better for people who use computers for several hours per day, but i think they can be really expensive. another approach is, about every half hour, look out the window for a few seconds, or just close your eyes for twenty seconds or so. it's better than nothing.
