Probably turn around and land a right cross.
The proper thing; however, is to file a complaint with the HR office. Some companies may require a complaint to the boss's superior.

I would go higher up and report him/her after telling him/her in no uncertain terms that it is not appropriate and not allowed and if he does it again, I will slap the crud out of him.!!! I will not allow someone to slap my rear, no matter who you are in the business field. If you are not my husband, then you are not allowed to touch!!!

If it was an unwanted contact, I'd report the boss immediately. If I like the boss, I'd talk to him/her about it and explain how I felt about the touching.

Tell him that it's unacceptable and you won't put up with it again and inform the HR department. If you've had a too-casual relationship in the past, make sure you get it on a professional level.

with my personality, I would more then likely punch his lights out, then proceed to curse him out. Then call HR.
