first... 22 is not too late. And a lot better than waiting. Just don't go into college thinging you'll be hanging and partying with younger kids... you are a bit beyond that. You will no doubt encounter many folks your age (and older)... think about all the people who do military service then do college... people wait for all kinds of reasons.
In terms of the felony- true, that may affect some opportunities, but there are so many others! ANY work you can do, you should do to get beyond this period. In ten years, it will seem like a completely different person did that. You may need to explain it, but people realize people do change... and respect that. If nothing else, never give up on yourself... Smart people manage the issues they face... others let it derail them... so try to set yourself up for success. A good education is a huge step.
Best wishes!

Okay, are you being serious...too old??? When I was college and completing my core classes for my degree I was 21 and my colleagues were 40 and up!!! C'mon, you will probably have even more fun. 22 is not old trust me! It's alot of older adults that are now going back and getting degrees. My dad is 43 and is now finishing up his first year in college...
It can be done, with a degree you have double the chance of getting a good job than a high school graduate with no degree...So you are definitely doing the right thing. I say go for it and may God bless your every step. C'mon on catch up the world is gonna pass you by.

It's not a waste of time. You may be able to go into business for yourself. I'm 23, and I am a junior in college. I should have graduated this May. Everytime I look around the degree plan is changing. I say don't give up. Who cares what anyone else thinks. At my university people range from 18 to about 45 sometimes over. I think you'll be alright.

22 or 80 is not to old to improve your education. If you are concerned about getting back into the routine of studying, take a class or two at a community college to get started. Enroll today, most schools will be starting in the next few days. Call the counseling office first thing in the morning and make an appointment.
